Hoda, Runway, New York City
On Friday, Copper Hound Pictures traveled down to New York for Runway For Recovery’s first ever show in the city. Runway, as you can read much more about elsewhere on our site, is an organization that was started in Boston over fifteen years ago to help families who have been impacted by breast cancer. Every year they host a fashion show in which all the models are either currently in treatment, completed treatment, or walking in memory of a loved one lost to the disease.

It’s an exciting time for Runway, having recently grown to Southern California a few years ago. To now be in New York feels like a pivotal moment for the organization to touch the lives of even more families who could use the support while going through incredibly tough times. This year’s special guest, Hoda Kotb, only heightened the feeling of excitement and growth. Our team, along with Runway’s Executive Director, Olivia Boger, had the opportunity to interview Hoda and talk about her experience with breast cancer and how it shaped her life. You can watch both a recap of the event and part of her interview above.
Our coverage of the event, including still photography by our teammate Eric Moran, has been picked up by People Magazine and US Weekly.
